“For years, I'd wanted to help people uncover their inner desire to change their bodies. It's something I know about. As a child and teenager, I was overweight and unhappy. After obtaining my bachelor's degree from Gonzaga University and publishing HERO Magazine, my angst increased upon moving to Los Angeles in 1997, surrounded by the "beautiful people." Finally, I said, "enough!" and something sparked deep inside. I set out on a course to transform my body—and with it—my life.

I will help you change your life.

“As fitness coach of the Hollywood Production Centers and TEN TEN Wilshire, and trainer behind top talent of the ABC reality show, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, producers and celebrities rely on me to motivate them to stay in top shape. But it's not just about celebrity fitness. Click around and read the testimonials on the site. Real people, from every walk of life, have found within themselves the power to transform.

My workouts are custom-designed for each participant, for you, and with you (no "cookie cutter" training here).  My programs are safe, results-oriented, as challenging as you want them to be, and fun! Because getting trained is intimidating — but being coached is inspiring.

If you've ever felt intimidated by other people in the gym before, don't worry, because it won't be about my body—it will be about yours. Your current physical condition doesn't matter much. I've coached hundreds of people from every walk of life, in all physical conditions. What matters most is that you're willing to dedicate yourself to a program unique for you.

I'll ask for 110% of your total effort during our sessions together, consistency in your program & diet, and pushing yourself beyond your self-perceived limits. In return, I'll provide you with the motivation, education and personal fitness & lifestyle coaching to fuel your results. I'll help you understand your body and your own technique so you achieve results in less time. Email for a personal, free LifeFit Assessment. Or call 323-785-2300.

Biography

SAM PAGE, 34, is a freelance journalist, amateur rodeo cowboy and director of Sam Page Fitness, operating three private training studios in Southern California. A former magazine publisher, Sam also appears regularly in HIV Plus, Passport, Horizon (Barcelona/London) and he’s a contributor to the Being Alive Newsletter.

Sam’s on-camera interview with Emmy Award® winning actress Kathy Griffin appears in season #4 of My Life on the D List in the episode, “Busted in Bora Bora” on Bravo!  He is represented by Venture IAB; his reel footage can be found on BlipTV.

Young Entrepreneur

A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, Sam won the Governor of Utah’s “Young Entrepreneur of the Year” award in 1991. The next year he was nominated by Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) and appointed to the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, but he attended Gonzaga University, in Spokane, Wash., where he rowed on the men’s crew team and participated as a cadet in the U.S. Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC).

HERO Magazine

In 1997, he co-founded and published HERO, a national magazine which ran from 1997-2001 and won distinction as “One of the Top 10 Magazines in the U.S.” His role as publisher garnered attention from the national media and even the White House. HERO rode the wave of “mainstreaming” gay culture, and was the first magazine to feature relationships, family, fitness, entertaining, automotive, technology and spirituality coverage for that audience.

Modeling & Acting

After playing the lead role in the sold-out run of Ronnie Larsen’s play, “My Boyfriend, the Stripper” in Austin, Texas, and appearing as a featured centerfold in both Playgirl and Attitude magazines (U.K.) he decided to dedicate his life to health and fitness.

Fitness Training & Gym Expansion

Working off-camera, Page opened his first gym at the Hollywood Production Center in October of 2004, and began training top producers of ABC’s Emmy Award-winning reality show, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. He co-hosted a fitness program on SIRIUS Sattellite Radio with John McMullen. He opened his second training studio in Glendale in May 2006.

His training motto, “fitness through inspiration, not intimidation,” reflects his belief that health is available to everyone, regardless of his or her present condition. Focused on the science behind fitness, he blends traditional exercise with a unique motivational and inspirational approach suited for each client.

In April 2007, he legally changed his last name to match that of his husband Bronson Page. The marriage was legalized by the State of California the following year.

His third training studio, a rooftop gym in downtown Los Angeles, opened June 6, 2008.
