Sally Tharpe Rowles is a fine artist who works in many mediums but is best known for her acrylic paintings on canvas and her mixed media drawings on paper. She studied art at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington D.C. and has also studied print making and painting in both England and France. She has traveled widely and for the past eighteen years has owned a small house in the south of France, where she goes each summer to paint. Her paintings have an ethereal quality which reflects a dream like existence.
