Sally Barker

Sally Barker is known to many folk fans as the original lead singer of

The Poozies

a band which, at one time, included the much talked about Kate Rusby.

Sally Barker’s involvement with music, however, encompasses more than folk - spilling over into rock, blues, jazz and country as a songwriter of distinction as well as a great singer.

Throughout 2008 Sally will only be performing live (apart from Concerts With The Poozies) as the “Joni Mitchell Project”, fulfilling a long-held ambition to present Joni’s songs as close to their original form while, at the same time, breathing fresh life into cherished songs.

Sally Barker rejoined The Poozies

after having so much fun touring with the band in autumn last year. The Poozies decided to go for it as a 5 piece band again bringing back memories of the original line up, as per the BBC

‘The Shetland Sessions”.
The Poozies now have the luscious singing of Sally Barker & the glorious fiddle of Eilidh Shaw at the same time. Onwards and upwards!
