Inspirer la nuit.   “Nice ambient piece.” • “That was a great piece of music! I played it twice before I downloaded it because it made such a great background track for work.” • “Soothing: Very nice atmospheric setting to this track. It’s quite floaty, with a very smooth sound. The balance in the mix is solid.” • “A Little Night Music: Good LP clip to intro the song. I like the ringing effect on the synths. The off-beat chirp puts the mood just right. Good chill-out track. Lead vocal has a good voice. Now I need to recall my French lessons. They fit into the song good. I like the hold on the night sounds. Very calming. Good job on the mood.” • “The cricket sound is so organic it makes me want to go swimming. I love the atmosphere that floats around the beat as opposed to becoming the beat. Awesomely sequenced!” • “Massage Music: This very soothing, relaxing song would be a perfect soundscape when I give massage. It makes you want to totally relax. Great atmosphere, soothing, gentle.” “I love the mood. Good transitions. Great for meditation!!” • “Ambience: A pleasant and dreamy intro with a distinct mid-90s vibe. The synths are laid-back and chilly, and create a nice atmosphere. I like the mood you’ve created in this piece. It’s drowsy and dreamy.”

Moody Way.   “Aural Quaaludes: This is a song I could fall asleep to and have very pleasant dreams. I like how the backup sounds (drums, beat, bass) don’t get in the way of the delicate guitar work. Very nice.” • “Well done! Makes me feel relaxed.” • “I have to agree it’s very relaxing and I think the feel and sound overall is very well done.” • “Jungle Rain Flavored: Guitar work is cool in beginning…plays well with other instrumentation going. Live instruments give this song a very breathy, real, organic sort of vibe. Arrangement moves just fine. Very good overall.” [Translation: “The simple idea of replacing one instrument with another is indeed the first time it’s occurred in this competition. Let it be said: It’s a good idea, and very much in the spirit of the competition, which ultimately is all about creativity in GarageBand. Otherwise, a very well built new-age-like piece, with nothing to find fault with.”] Viereinhalb Sterne.” [Translation: “Very sophisticated song with a guitar that sounds amazingly realistic, considering it began as a piano. The center section sounds more mechanical or at least more like heavily edited loops. Even so, I find that all the little things far back in the mix occur beautifully. I can’t find anything to criticize here. Four and a half stars!”] • “The guitar reminds me of the little pieces of music in Vanilla Sky. The guitar line is really good—well thought out, not flashy and masturbatory. The recording is crisp and clear. The mood definitely changed when the drums came in. I like the slow build-up in the drums/noises as the song goes along.” • “Meaningful: The guitar/stringed instrument is really cool. The chord structure really adds to the mood, which is sad at times…but gives hope. The balance of these two emotions really hits people. The mix is good. Great tune overall!” • “Great Stuff!: Excellent piece…kinda makes you want to give up, seeing stuff this good. Also, finally, it’s nice to see some sensibility in using the loops, other than the usual hip-hop beat stuff that seems to be easy to do. Nice job. Well done!” • “Mix is very clean, the guitar sounds nice and bright.” • “This is nice new-agey music—with a jazz progression to it. Nice and mellow.” • “Anyone who actually uses the harpsichord setting on their keyboards gets brownie points with me. It gives me a Middle Eastern vibe.” • “I like the use of the natural acoustic and the electronic percussive elements. Mainly, I am attracted to the mood of this song. It creates a mood for pondering. I imagine a scene in a movie where someone is making a decision and the percussive elements are perfect for a scene where someone is walking down a street; would make for dramatic soundtrack material. The mix is good, everything is clear and thought out well. Good job, guys!” • “Pluck Pluck Plucky Pluck: This one’s very intentional and deliberate in design. Ultra chill with sounds in the background that add to its ulterior motives.” • “Superb: This is not a song, it’s a work! Some of the most inspired stuff I have heard in this genre in a long time. Exceptional guitar sound and work. Belongs in concert. I could not say enough good things about this song’s potential as a classic.” • “Pluck: I like the guitar effect and choice of chords. It’s almost like a glockenspiel. I think I may get some tea and grab a blanket. Good work.” • “Nice One: Don’t know what you used for the main theme, but it sounded like a guitar. The beat and mood were quite laid back and chilled out. Arrangement and mix were excellent. Well done.” • “Cool: Great arrangement. I really like the acoustic guitars and the bongo drum. The mood is very calming. It made me feel outdoors. Great job. So simple yet so full.” • “Safe Music for Easily Offended People: The acoustic guitar was interesting, building from simple to slightly more complex over time; nice play off the background elements and drums. It inspires a subtle mood of looking inside something and trying to see its beauty for what it is.” • “A Soundtrack of Sorts: Acoustic guitar interwoven among strands of gentle samples. The composer flirts with tribal incantations and ritual rites of passage, opening new doors of spiritual perception.” • “The mood was the real hook with this song. It was melancholy, yet not morose, and very hypnotic. Nice job.” • “Sweet…finally heard something I would definitely buy. Love that smooth guitar work. One of my favourites. Listened to it twice.” • “Interesting Sounds: Very new folk. The guitar is interesting, more like a keyboard-played style than an actual guitar. The sneaking in of the fret noises was a good trick. I like the feel of the track, very laid back, something I could chill out to on the beach at sunset. Good mix, and a solid arrangement.” • “Nice Acoustic Folk Vibe: This is nice; you set a very chill, folksy mood with this song. I like the minimalist arrangement, and the sporadic drumming.” • “Very Very Nice: This is a great piece! I love the bongo vibe to it. I really really enjoyed this one. I will definitely be adding this to my playlist. Great great stuff!!!” • “I was surprised by the guitar, it didn't seem too much like electronic. It is a smooth sound though. Very relaxing like a day at the beach. Nice work on the bongos; it gives it a good beat and keeps it soft. Very good arrangement, smooth transitions.” • “An Interesting Mix of the Original and the Comfortable: I like the guitar work. It’s always refreshing to hear traditional instruments in an electronic setting. Too many artists, especially DJs, ignore the beautiful contrasts which can be achieved by blending acoustic instruments into an electronic context. The composition here is solid; I bet the artist has studied music theory before, or at least read a book or two. The piece progresses well without becoming repetitive or pedantic. The solid guitar playing gives a back seat to the electronic elements. I am a big fan of trying new things, so I will give you props on originality. Overall this piece is solid; it’s definitely one of the best I’ve heard all day.”

Éther éternel.   “Nice Eastern Sound: Comes in with a nice groove. The string noises are awesome. Good, clean, simple lead parts. Nice phase/flange effects on ambient noises. The minimalistic vocals are cool. Good ending too. Well done.” • “Solid: Innovative-sounding instrumentation; you’ve got me there. Nice blend of acoustic and electro sounds. Clever, mate. Just as I was getting tired of the first hook I’ve got a new one. Good work!” • “Rich: This song is all about the strings—they sound great, and you used them to the fullest with a very good layered arpeggiation, and you didn’t abuse them—I loved them every time they came out. They make a great hook and that string hook is still lingering in my brain now that the song has ended. Kudos for bringing the sequencing changes in at exactly the right times; the arrangement is very good. I get blissfully lost in the rich tones of the mix. The parts with the spacey “shooting star” synths and the man speaking French remind me of Enigma, a great band.” • “Yes More Creativity!!!! Another song that shows all the creative musicians are doing electronica. Who would have expected violins, then an acoustic guitar in the mix. Now some Cure-like vocals. Way to go!!!” • “Top Notch: This song is very good. I can believe that I might hear this in a club. The vocals are very fitting for this song. The arrangement is top notch—kudos to the arranger!” • “Ethnically Third-World Rhythm: Careful selection and programming of sounds give the music an organic, timeless feel. Vocals merge with trippy lyrics and cosmic sounds. The mix flows free.” • “Great Vibe: Really enjoyed the arrangement and mix—the organic string effect over the electronic beats grabbed me. Definite Middle Eastern vibe throughout.”

String Fling.   “The Man with the Golden Bow: Eek, is this Enya? Ah, but saved by a breakbeat-infused pentatonic sequence tending chromatically downward. But I see it is a canon of sorts. Nice counterpoint. Sounds like soundtrack music, my dear neighbors. I definitely see people on screen stealing stuff. You sound like a somewhat sparsely orchestrated Henry Mancini. Good overall sounds and production. Yahoo!” • “Wonderful Strings: First off, the natural sound of the strings is fantastic. The classical mixed with modern beatbox is wonderful. This track is one of the best tracks I have heard.” • “Interesting string work. Clever use of panning. Sounds like a string quartet got jiggy with a drum machine, but in a fun way. The beats are good and solid, and the mix is clear.” • “Violin Crazy! Okay, nice violins with a superb beat to complement them! It’s a good idea, pretty original! Good work overall!” • “The pizzicato strings are very original for dance music. You have a creative style—it’s commendable. The arrangement is superb and the mix sounds decent. You sound like no other. It’s awesome!” • “Wow! This is an amazing combination of classical style music, and drum tracks—props for the originality. I can tell that the person who made this track has got a few years of practical musical theory under his belt.[!] Middle school band class obviously grew on you.” • “The first image I got from this song’s perky plucking and flowing strings was very sweet. I cannot describe the beauty I find within this track. The beat is a good mix—it keeps the song going. And I love how the strings change, but keep to the same mood. I’d say this song has a Badmarsh and Shri touch, but without the insane breakbeat they tend to have. Good job!” • “Take Me to the Theatre! Interesting blend and choice of instrumentation. I like the refreshing combination. I like how the drums change up in the middle and move up a notch in intensity. It keeps the song interesting and moving. The instruments sound live, which is nice—good job if they are programmed!”

OctavePussy.   “Well Done: Started off wonderfully. When the guitars first came in it took it where it needed to go. You did a great job turning a James Bond riff into an electronic song. The mix was good. I like the use of bass cuts. Good job!!” • “The lushness of it all! Ornate string/woodwind thing going on breaking into the lo-fi. Nice juxtaposition. Thirty-five seconds in some weird guitar takes this somewhere to outer space. The beat play has a nice thing going on. Great movie soundtrack type stuff.” • “Telecaster Experience: Cool string intro. I like the way this is being layered out. Nice balance with the guitar on the left and the one in the middle of the mix. The guitar licks are perfect for this tune. Good job.” • “Interesting mix of 1960s spy film guitar and dance music. Sounds like the KLF sampling Duane Eddy.” • “Bite: Eclectic stuff that offers in just 30 seconds violins, danceable beat, Survivor-guitar: it’s something like the Shadows time-warped to nowadays. Solid production, good balanced mix, and neat arrangement. It sometimes has that Leone-Morricone feel…conclusion easily made: it’s excellent movie music.” • “Guitar Work with Dance Beat Is a Breath of Fresh Air: Nice string intro. It sets it up nicely. The guitar riffs and accompaniment of each other is quite nice. The delay on the guitars is really well done, too. Great job of getting that solo dead center and the accompanying guitars left or right in the stereo image. I like how the drums change effects as well. Good overall sound effects and use of beat changes.” • “Excellent Break: I was expecting four to the floor, and I was wrong. Great sounding break; it’s nice and hard. The guitar parts are wonderful, truly artistic. The entire mix as a whole was extremely well done—props! Dunno who you sound like, except for you, man…” • “Mellow Dance: I’d like for this to play behind me whenever I want to look cool. The song keeps getting more interesting as it goes on, which is great. I like that you don’t rely on one repetitious melody line. Good production.” • “Excellent Use of Live Guitars: Ooh! Had a very nice intro, excellent synth strings. I like the dirtied beat in some places. Sounds like it would be very good soundtrack music to either a video game or a movie. As soon as I thought James Bond-ish, that last sample gave me a good chuckle. Good song. Arrangement was well thought out, keeping the song rolling. I’d say it’s reminiscent of Future Sound of London with the down-tempo quality.” • “Unique Track that Really Ignites Your Imagination—Amazing! The riff is awesome! Gives me the feeling of driving through the desert of Nevada at 100 miles an hour with a trunk full of money and drugs. As far as who you sound like, that’s pretty tough. I can’t really compare you to anyone I’ve heard before. Very unique, very cool. Very well done. I give you a 10 out of 10. I haven’t given that rating to anyone before, but I think this track is just awesome (10 being something you would hear an international DJ spin)!” • “Shaken, Not Stirred: If this was played in a bar I’d certainly sit up and say, ‘What’s this?’ The string intro leading into a dark, moody, percussive beat kicks off the song with an original mix of genres. The melody has hints of James Bond, giving an exciting, mysterious feel to the tune. Arrangement/mix all sounds natural and well put together.” • “On the Button! Nice intro into a good groove. I’m lovin’ the guitar’s arpeggios. Nice work. Maybe the next soundtrack for Mission Impossible. The rhythm the guitars is playin’ is cool. It’s a good arrangement and I definitely dig the vibe. The drum groove and the guitars are great together. Nice job bringing it to the table. I can’t put my finger on who you sound like, but maybe the better way to look at that question is who sounds like you?” • “Time for a Spin in the Aston! I like the echoing rhythm guitar as well as the Shadows-style lead, very twangy! This grows on you with a sightly sinister feel like a ’60s spy theme…Yeah, I really feel the mood…Super ending…OK! I got it! Grab a dry martini and enjoy this GREAT track!” • “Oh good! Another artist who incorporates strings into their electro music…mmm, delightful! Great breaks. The guitar type lead at around 0:37 is stunning. Lots of wonderful elements here. The electric guitar sounds really enhance the melody and chord progression…tight. Reminds me a tad of the Blue Man Group or Apollo 440 (with the hot electric guitar). The emphasis on that guitar is superb. Great mix. Everything is crystal clear. Production is worthy of a 5. NICE!” • “Yo! Dis Be Trippin’: Y’all be gottin’ some R&B up in here. You gots my toes tappin’ and booty thumpin’. Ooh yeah, baby, watch me do the runnin’ man! I wish Bobby Brown was still alive, or at least his career. I think y’all have a winner here. All high marks!” • “Fantastic! Beautiful strings and a unique, kicking downbeat. Once the guitars started up I got a real Bon Jovi kind of vibe. It’s well composed and arranged. The beat cuts in and out just at the right times and the guitars flow very smoothly throughout the song. I personally think this is a wonderful song altogether, great stuff!” • “The beginning sounds like something Bjork would make, which is a plus—she has a real creative style, which, like yours, is very original. The mix sounded great!”

KonFusion.   “Nice Use of Loops: Some of it reminds me a bit of some Joni Mitchell guitar work on ‘Hejira.’ ” • “Spliced: I love the intro electric piano. And love the sweet guitar and subsequent song.” • “Very clever. Also a nice moody track.” • “Sensual and Warm: I like the opening keyboard that shifts into a nice acoustic guitar section. The angular chords and playing that soon follows sets the mood for some tasteful and understated percussion. The mood is very sensual and warm. The improvisational guitar flows and works the down-tempo beat nicely. In some songs such a sparse arrangement might feel underdeveloped, but this feels just right.

Revâsserie.   “This Random Melody Gets Very Familiar: I like the almost random start and how it develops harmonically. The melody is very childlike; the string arrangement is superb. The use of few parts and how you build up the arrangement is very nice. This random melody gets very familiar and sounds like a simple child’s melody towards the end. I really like this tune. The mix is nice, sequencing too.” • “Ding-Dingity: Lullaby chimes with sweet sonorous strings and a teeny bit of a beat. This swells nicely towards the end, and then resolves neatly. Overall a very pretty piece that would go nicely as the soundtrack to a short cartoon story. The music is simple, but it never becomes monotonous.” • “Steve Reich Goes Pop: A nice balance between experimental and cool jazz. This track mixes minimalism with electronica quite nicely. The strings add a nice flavor, and enter and exit in surprising ways. The mix is quite nice.”

DelicatEssence.   “Beautiful: I love this—great for listening to while working. A really beautiful piece.” • “I did like the melody. Very pretty. I liked how you built up the intensity.” • “I like the guitar work here. Even though it’s sequenced, it has a nice feel to it. There is a nice happy mood to this track. All in all, great work. The arrangement is well laid-out, and placed perfectly. Seven out of 10 in my book.” • “Chillski: The mix on this song was perfect. Nothing overpowered anything. I’ve listened to this song twice and appreciated it again. This would make a great song for the opening credits to a movie.” • “Music Box Serenade: I like this song. It makes me feel like I’m listening to an old family heirloom music box and the rush of connected memories wash over me like a flood. The arrangement is wonderful, and even seems to tell a story. It never gets old since new movements are introduced constantly and it actually jams out! There is a lack of beat but it is inherently there; the listener creates it by reading between the notes’ staff lines. The sound and speed of the playing remind me of elements of Ravi Shankar. Great job!” • “Classical touch to the intro. Comforting and relaxing music. Seasonal feel (autumn or winter). Catchy rhythm.” • “Perfect Movie Soundtrack: Wonderful atmosphere, melody and chord progression. Sounds perfect for a movie soundtrack. Well recorded, with good variations. Arrangement is good; song evolution, too.” • “Wonderful! This is a wonderful track. It is very melodic and well constructed. Everything seems to sit where it should in the mix. I hear some things that remind me of the piano melodies of Sarah McLachlan, Tori Amos, and Billy Joel. It has an ebb and flow to it—calm and then exciting and then calm again. A great track to chill out to.” • “Great Mood! The chords and melody are perfectly interpreted. The arrangement feels surprising and promising. The mix is simply great. I have nothing to add. I will be looking for more!” • “Kudos! Love the acoustic chord progressions in the intro. Great soundtrack stuff here!” • “Sounds of Nature: This definitely belongs in a scenescape video. It reminds me of peaceful nature scenes, like a sunny day in the meadow, deer, flowers, bumblebees, you get the picture, right? PBS needs to contact this artist!”

Entre chats.   “Nice Splicing of Loops: I like the way you cut loops and put them together. It all works very smoothly.” • “J’adore!!!! Je le met dans mon iPod! Excellent job.” • “The strings add a nice organic feel.” • “Ah-ha! There’s a lot of nice compositions on this site. This is one of them. I liked it!” • “Love it! It’s a real hap-hap-happy tune. The violin and strings running through it were a great touch.” • “Brilliant: This is so cool. Very unique and interesting and exciting. The arrangements are beautiful and lively to the programmed drumming. The mix is sensual and vibrant. Love the violins. Ha-ha…love the ending. Brilliant.” • “Bounce on It: Kooky and experimental. I like the violin sound and melody. Drum programming is great. The programming is well done. String bridge is a nice change-up.” • “Nice, after just one listen it’s in my head to stay.” • “I like the sound, really good if you want to kick back and relax while reading a book. Good tempo, and anything that incorporates a violin deserves some props. Keep up the good work.” • “I like the strings…nice. I like the arrangement and it was mixed wonderfully. I can’t place who you sound like but it reminds me of a sped-up soundtrack for the old-school Tom and Jerry cartoons. You know, the ones where they would swordfight on the feast table like the three musketeers with Jerry’s nephew.…Yeah, like that. Cool song.” • “Very Cool Song: I’ve been listening to some very nice dance music tonight and I include this one on my list. Very nice chill-out groove with a very catchy hook. Very well produced arrangement and mix. Not quite sure who you sound like…reminded me of the soundtrack music from the film Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, only with more of a dance beat. Well done…I like this!!!” • “This is a very clever track. For the most part the song is arranged well. The mix is well done, with all components of the track clear and balanced. This artist sounds like a collaboration between Ultravox’s Billy Curie and 2 Live Crew’s Mr. Mixx.” • “Great Beat! I like how the drums and percussion are off-pace slightly to the synth and keyboard sounds.…I’m bobbing my head as I listen to this track. The violin addition is beautiful. Gives the song a Celtic, old-world feel…adds a lot of complexity to the song. The overall mix is great as well…the slight additions of vocal interludes are just right…too many vocals can often hinder a great electronic track.…You guys have found a healthy balance. Catchy melody, engaging sound.…Awesome stuff!” • “Strings and All: I liked the drum beat best but appreciated the piece strings and all—got to be original.” • “Cool beat. Sounds like ‘Everybody’ by Boy Wonder with the strings.” • “It sounds like something I’d hear in Express, but that’s a good thing because Express plays good dance/electronic music. I like the counterpoint of the violin and whatever that patch was. Sounds cool, mix is good.” • “I like the violins, THAT’S TIGHT! The mix is good and crisp.” • “A: This song gets better as you go. Not too repetitive or boring. Violin part’s bangin’. Mix sounds right on to me. More original than most groups on here [GarageBand.com].” • “Good Stuff: Sounds good to me; nice additives. I like the guitar in the middle of the song. I can’t think of anything it sounds like. I think it’s quite original. The mix sounds well too. Maybe a hip art gallery function I could see this song played in? Well done.” • “Jazzy: Nice jazzy electronic feel. I love the drum loops. I also like the layering. Sounds kinda like US3 to me.” • “Nice Groove: The arrangement is on point. Very good mix, great use of the stereo field/panning. I like how the extra drums come in almost like a fill. Good track!” • “Nice arrangement and mix. The song keeps a good danceable groove throughout with nice instrumentation to keep it interesting.” • “Strings and Things Make Me Want to Vibe: I love the strings. Great transitions. Love the guitar. Mixed pretty well. You don’t sound like anyone I can think of…very original. And I’m a DJ.” • “This song feels similar to a Mark Farina mix. Very smooth, and what is that? Do I sense some attitude in there too? It’s structurally sound. Perfect for a gathering among friends sipping the beverage of your choice.” • “Lord of the Strings: Decent groove, somewhat familiar. Original styling of violin effect. This is kind of a funky hobbit-elfish groove. Should be popular. Totally cool guitar effect. Good job! I have no clue who you sound like, which makes it better.” • “Gypsy Dance? That beat is wicked, and I have to give you credit for the mix of the violin, because that is pretty spot on. The mix is great, and I would say you sound like a mix between Gotan Project and a big beat producer (Chemical Brothers, etc.).” • “Trance? I must say the strings sounded a lot like something Prince would have done. I liked the mix; it was hype. This track really had me bobbin’ my head.” • “Dance, Strings and Head-Bobbing: Good beat, good arrangement, and very well mixed. One of the few dance songs I’ve heard today that actually has a melody—major props for that. I very much like the strings—that sound fits in really nicely in this piece. Nice counterpoint going on between the strings as well, harmonically as well as rhythmically. You had me bobbing my head along with this one. Excellent.” • “Great Sound! Love the Strings: This is great music! I love the combination of the catchy beat with the classical-sounding violin. Great stuff! You guys are brilliant. Nice guitar that comes in the middle. This would be great for an indie underground European movie. The mix is great; very professional. The arrangement is very good.” • “Relax…with Tempo: Relaxation is the word in this track…very K7-like. The violins are part of a great groove and melody. This track offers up-moody music that’s neatly arranged and cleverly mixed. Eclectic in every sense.” • “Music Is Better Than Sex: Nice melodious quips from violin sound that fits the beat like a glove. Good steady keyboard chords. Nice guitar entrance. You sound like the music behind a sex scene in a late-night grade-C sex movie (where often the music is a lot better than the silly choreographed unrealistic sex you’re watching).” • “I love this type of musical arrangement. The mix is two thumbs up!” • “The strings and synths bring a Classical influence to what is basically a club track, adding another dimension to it.” • “Windham Hill: The first thing that I notice is the violins, mixed into a dance beat. I always enjoy creative uses of acoustic instruments in a digital genre. The production is very good, all the instruments are very clear and mixing is good. I enjoyed it.” • “This is…well, hot! I like the violin, interesting addition. The beat is hot, the melody is cool. The second classical instrument (viola?) to come in and the synth are nice. Great arrangement: the clubs may love this. Kinda reminds me of a dance-pop Aphex Twin. The guitar is awesome. Breakdown around 2:42 is cool, too. This song could have gotten boring but luckily there’s a twist at every corner.” • “Fearless: Maybe I’ll start calling myself a dance music guru—if this is the kind of freedom they’re allowed! Oh the guitar against the single violin is so great the rhythm pales, however the breakdown is inspired. Keep pushing the envelope of your art: Innovate, don’t imitate.” • “Cool: I love the arrangement! Not too many bands on here know how to change it up so that it doesn’t get boring. This stays interesting. Really cool. Sounds like…an original! I like it.” • “A Wee Story: Violin dance funk! Yeah, I dig! Five stars! I played this at a barn dance in Hunstanton [U.K.] and people were yelling, ‘Wow! DJ! What’s this?’ Those words speak for themselves.” • “Like It: I don’t think I have ever heard violin in a dance song. Very different and very good. Gives it a different feel. The song has a good beat. Love the way the two instruments talk to each other.” • “Weird Groove: Very funky-funny track. The violin is an original twist. I really like the pushy beat. This track would fit perfectly as background music in a TV show or movie. Thumbs…UP!” • “Atari Dance: Cool video game sound for the theme! Dig your choice of beats and the breakdown with the skipping record sound. This was just a cool groove from beginning to end. And the melodic theme is neat. This would be a great soundtrack to a video game. You asked who you sound like. Hmm…If Sonic the Hedgehog met up with Super Mario, took some E and went out clubbing…”

Emocean.   “Am Really Chilled Now: Ryk, nice one! I needed some relaxing, contemplative music and this is the second one I’ve listened to in a row. Really really nice!” • “Calm and Relaxing: Very new-age mood and style. Very relaxing atmosphere created by the melody and the sound you used, also well recorded and balanced. Good job with the arrangement.” • “Floating on Air: Delicate arrangement and production. You can clearly hear the slightest nuance or triangle click. I like the guitar line quite a bit. Very relaxing track.” • “Love the title—perfect for this dreamy, floating piece. Very sweet and serene.” • “Solid: The mix on this track is very clean. It sounds like the artist has put together a quality studio, and really studied recording techniques. The guitar sounds melodic and sweet; in fact the guitarist’s performance holds this track up.” • “Ahhhh, the Ocean: You just can’t go wrong with the ocean. Nice guitar, nice synth. I feel very relaxed. I could see myself sitting on the beach sipping a drink right now. The melody is very smooth and well thought out. Real good song.” • “Very Soothing, Like a Corona Ad: This song made me long to be on a beach (with a luscious beauty of course) to think about the day’s hardships and have them wash away in the frothy waves presented in the background. The melodies take you away like Calgon and you are left so soothed you need a cigarette. All the while I was looking out at grey skies and longing to be in the place where those waves hit the shore. I like this song and I am usually not a fan of songs made from nature sounds. But I encourage anyone to take a listen…this one’s different.” • “Sleepy-Time Café: Acoustic dreamland meets a moonlit night. Good-natured and appropriately boring[!] for being as wholesome as it is. The melody can’t be beat, though. You are obviously skilled!”
