How do I get started?
Answer ~ First, answer this simple question: Who is the gift for? We’ll create pages for any person, any occasion. For friends, family, parents, co-workers, bosses, strangers on the street ... for your family reunion, graduation, wedding, retirement, anniversary, team championship, birthday, grand opening ... anything.
OK, I know who the page is for ... so what’s next?
Answer ~ Tell us about the subject(s). Tell us everything. Remember, our goal is to personalize this gift, so spill it. Tell us about habits, likes, dislikes, funny stories, heartfelt moments, advice, hobbies, jobs, quirks, family, friends, interests ... anything that will help us get to know the subject better.
Can I get others to help?
Answer ~ Absolutely. The more, the merrier. Most of the pages we create benefit from a collaboration. It helps to talk to the people who know the person(s) best. Friends, co-workers, family, students, anyone who might add more to the page. We don’t guarantee we’ll use all the information we receive, but we’ll try!
Who does the writing?
Answer ~ We’ll take your information and turn it into well-written, entertaining stories. However, if you or someone you know wants to take a shot at writing something (an article, fact box, etc.) for the page, then please, go right ahead. We’ll gladly accept your prose and add the right amount of editing touches to make it sing.
What about photos?
Answer ~ We accept photos through e-mail, as long as they’re good quality (jpeg or tif files, please) and good size (at least 170 dpi) ... if any of that sounds confusing, don’t worry, we’ll walk you through it. It’s not as complicated as it sounds. We also accept hard copies of photos that we’ll scan and return to you in the same fine condition in which you gave them to us. And just as we do with background information, we’ll try to use as many photos as we can, but we don’t guarantee that we’ll use all of the photos provided. We choose the photos that work best with the stories we’re presenting.
