THE CLASSROOM

Welcome to the world of middle school science! This year in 6th grade science we will focus on controlling variables and producing a scientific experiment for the ASB Science Fair in February. Additionally, students will study solar energy, conduct controlled experiments, attend Camp Seymour to learn more about marine biology and Puget Sound ecosystems. Finally, students will be introduced to classification, taxonomy, microorganisms and animal learning.

7th graders will focus on human body systems, cellular biology, genetics and nutrition. Additionally, students will expand their knowledge of conducting controlled experiments by participating in the ASB Science Fair. I look forward to guiding students through this process and giving them a wider understanding of our dynamic and changing world so that they can use this information to problem solve and change the world.
