I am a post doctoral researcher in the lab of Brian Hall, at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. My research interests include evolutionary-developmental biology (Evo-Devo), herpetology, skeletal development, and comparative vertebrate anatomy. I’m particularly interested in the assembly of the skeleton, and try to approach this topic with a combination of traditional morphology and modern molecular techniques. So far my work has focused on convergent life histories in different frog groups, the expression and function of genes that are required for skeleton formation, and the creation of transgenic frogs that express exogenous genes exclusively in the skeleton.
