We went to the X-games at the Staple Center Thursday and Friday nights.  The format of the event is annoying as the “made for TV” aspect of it kills the flow of the event.  But the skills of these guys is off the charts.  Double back-flips in both motorcross and BMX vert.  This is a photo of Shawn White attempting a 1080 - while he never landed it just the fact that moves like that are being attempted is nuts.  It is pretty annoying how all the interest is around will the 1080 or the double-back be landed when other guys are pulling moves that are technically just as nuts (ie, Colin McCay’s tail slide to kickflip - in vert!). Overall awesome to see live.
