This website has lots of ‘links’ or ‘hot spots’ on it. These are areas where when you move your cursor over it, it changes. The cursor may be an arrow or an “I”-beam, or some other sort of movable pointer on your computer. If the cursor changes, it means that you can ‘click’ on this item and it will take you to something else. There are lots of links here for you to try.

Read the following short paragraph before you click on anything else.

Here’s an example: click on the words that are a different color in this sentence and it will take you to the Weather Page. Once there, since this is still within the NJ Naturenotes.com website, (hey, the words ‘NJ Naturenotes.com above are live, too) you can click on any menu item near the top of the page to go to that page, or use the back arrow on your browser (the program that you’re using to view this) to return to this page.

Sometimes, a photo or a graphic item (an arrow, text box or anything else on the page) may be ‘hot’  in itself, that is, if you click the photo or whatever is ‘hot’, you
will be taken to another page to see. Click on the photo of the Northern Hawk Owl to the right to be taken to the Birds & Birding page. Again, you can use the back arrow on that page to return here.

These links make this website very versatile and can offer you an entire new world of information for you to enjoy. There are MANY links…so explore.

There is a link on the top of this page, just to the right of the word “Menu”, that says “Front Page”. If you click on that link, you will return to the Front Page of NJ Naturenotes.

Please note that all the news items on the Front Page have hot links to take you to the primary source of that subject or news item. Sometimes, there is more than one link per article noted on the page. If you were to simply move your cursor over the Front Page you will see that there are many links (including the Menu near the top of the page).

Please note that some links may not have a different color and may just look the same as what is around it. However, if the cursor changes when you move over it, it’s a hot link and will take you to another page…sometimes off of our website. This might, for example, be a NASA website or the NY Times, or CNN. But you can always use the back arrow on your browser to return to our website.

Explore and enjoy. If you should ever find a link that doesn’t work or takes you to the wrong page, please let me know and I’ll fix it.
