Boris Goldmund proposed and successfully funded this two-year long celebration of the
Nation’s Bicentennial with a Regional Public Transportation Authority. The success of this
collaboration led to the official allowance of percentage of US Dept. of Transportation Grants to be
used for Public Art in the Transit Environment.
