APA Speaker network expanded in 2009
In 2007, APA first launched its speaker network—a list of 193 fellows of APA in zip-code order--so U.S. schools, corporations, and community groups can easily find a willing expert speaker in their own area. In August 2009, the second edition was launched at APA in Toronto, expanded to include 212 APA fellows ready not only to speak on their topics of expertise, but also to (a)consult with the media, (b) advise students or colleagues, and possibly (c) host a visit by a student group to their lab or clinic. This APA speaker network was initially funded by CODAPAR (Committee on Division-APA Relations), and is operated by co-chairs Ronald G. Shapiro (drronshapiro@gmail.com), Rivka B. Meir (winsuccess@aol.com), Harold Takooshian (takoosh@aol.com). A free PDF listing and more details are available at www.apa.org/about/division.html from the websites of the four sponsoring divisions--1 (general), 2 (teaching), 21 (human factors) 52 (international).
