Director Bio
Rustin Thompson is an independent filmmaker with 28 years experience as a director, cameraman, editor, and writer.  He and his wife, writer-producer Ann Hedreen, own White Noise Productions, dedicated to making high-quality documentary-like short films for non-profit organizations.  Their feature documentaries, all of which have played on PBS stations throughout the country, are distributed nationally and around the world.  These include The Church on Dauphine Street (Best Documentary/Independents Film Festival), Quick Brown Fox: An Alzheimer’s Story (Emmy nominee for Best Writing and Best Documentary) and 30 Frames A Second: The WTO in Seattle (Top Ten Films of 2000/ALA; Best Documentary/Chicago Underground Film Festival, Seattle Underground Film Festival, Portland Festival of World Cinema; Winner of A Chris Award).  Rustin is also a freelance film critic and host of the alt-country show Roadsongs, for Seattle radio station KBCS-FM, 91.3, and is a frequent contributor to Moviemaker magazine. He is a graduate of the University of Washington.
