Track 3. A. District and Club Compliance Issues.

“I can’t get my clubs to report their monthly contact with students, host families, schools. How do I get them to do this?”

“I’m not sure my clubs are doing in home interviews with host families. What should I do?"

“We can’t seem to get the CBC’s done in a timely fashion. What’s the secret to getting these done?

“I’ve got an issue that I’ve never had addressed. It’s ................ "

This session will focus on lessons learned from the recent audit concerning compliance issues at both the district and local club level as well as identifying the best way to address those issues. 

Track 3. B. Abuse Orientation.

“Who do I need to orient on this subject?”

“I’m not comfortable talking about this with high school students. How do I get comfortable enough to do it?”

“What we did it in our district and worked great! Here's what we did: .... ”

“My district spends 5 minutes on this at Inbound Orientation; other districts spend over an hour.  Which is best?” 

Learn what other districts are doing in regards to abuse orientation, i.e., to whom is the material presented and when, what amount of material is covered, etc.

Track 3. C. Short Term Program Compliance Issues.

“Our short term students are only here for a few weeks; how do we get all this orientation done for them?”

Is there some sort of “short form orientation for short term students?”

“Will we get audited on short term students?”

“Do we really need to do in home interviews and CBC’s on short term host families?”

This session will focus on how best to implement the compliance requirements of RI, DOS, and CSIET in the short term program.
