Rule 7. Help the student give his host counselor (you) a great experience.

Rule 7.1. Tell the student exactly what you expect during the course of the year.

Rule 7.2. Be the student's mentor, and confidante, and supervisor.

Rule 7.3. Don't be the students pal, peer, or buddy to the detriment of your relationship as mentor, confidante, or supervisor.

Rule 7.4. Ask the student to help you out with one of your projects, and collaborate to advance that project together.

Rule 7.5. Make sure the student understands your responsibilities for him and his responsibilities to you.

Rule 8. Help the student give his host club committee a great experience.

Rule 8.1. Organize a small, informal introductory get-together with only the student and the club Youth Exchange Committee.

Rule 8.2. Encourage the student to ask club committee members to take the student to club meetings when appropriate.

Rule 9. Help the student give his host club a great experience.

Rule 9.1. Help the student prepare for and rehearse his speech to the club.

Rule 9.2  Encourage the student to come to club meetings whenever possible.

Rule 9.3  At club meetings, ask the student to mention interesting things he's done or things club members have done for the student.

Rule 10. Help the student give his host district a great experience.

Rule 10.1. Help the student understand the role of the District Conference.

Rule 10.2. Help the student connect with District Rotarians outside of his club.

Rule 11. Help the student give his host conference a great experience.

Rule 11.1. Help the student understand the role of the SCRYE Winter Conference and his role in it.
