The 6060 Counselor Times

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

July 19, 2007 -- by Rick Favaloro, Counselor Coach

Welcome

Welcome to The 6060 Counselor Times! This newsletter will serve as a Youth Exchange Counselor forum to communicate with anyone interested in the Rotary District 6060 Youth Exchange Counselor stuff.

"When you're the Youth Exchange Counselor, what should you do?" My idea was to come up with some good rules to help me do a good job as counselor. In this web site's introduction, I suggest some good rules. I hope this newsletter will be a resource to help anyone involved in being a counselor to offer, and to learn about, good ideas and good rules for being a counselor.

That's all for this first issue of The 6060 Counselor Times. I hope you'll find it helpful and enjoyable. If you'd like to contribute some information or an article, please let me know: send an email to rick.rulesatwork@mac.com.

Rotary Code of Policies: Certification

Regarding all youth exchange programs, and certification of the programs, Rotary International has published guidelines. According to the Rotary Code of Policies, section 41.080: "The certification process requires all club and district Youth Ex-change programs to provide Rotary International with evidence that they have adopted the guidelines ...." I've analyzed these

guidelines, what they mean, and what you need to know, and I explain it all in my totally new web site introduction page. To read all about it, just click here.
