Modernism is not something you notice, you just live with it, without commenting about a lack of ornamentation. The Pavilion serves as an art gallery, meeting place, icon & brand for Bexhill. It is a large space frame of steel, glass & concrete. Much is expected of the repurposed building. It provides a focus & identity for Bexhill,

with hopes of regeneration & culture for residents & visitors.

       So ‘Modernism is...optimistic belief that new technologies of       

             industrialisation would produce a qualitatively better world’. ?
