Two of these recent works are currently on display as part of the Digital ’08: Imagination on Behalf of Our Planet show at the New York Hall of Science, organized by asci.org.
Each image was created by integrating both digital and traditional techniques such as Photoshop manipulation, painting, monotype, relief and lithographic printmaking. The imagery prompts the viewer to consider our visual conceptions of the future, both past and present, as we wonder how the current environmental crises will resolve themselves. Each image relies on the juxtaposition of objects and time periods generate curiosity about the future of our planet and our role as innovators and problem-solvers.
