The Town of Medway, Massachusetts, acquired the Historic Thayer Homeplace at Choate Park in order to preserve this historic property and add to the town’s open space adjacent to Choate Pond.  The Medway Historic and Community Preservation Commissions have been working to develop a long range plan for the preservation and sustainability of the property as a Historical Asset  and passive multi-use by the town and others.  This website will help to document and share with you our efforts in this important undertaking.  

 

Summer 2008: Newport Collaborative Architects prepared a scope of work document that we used to in the spring to initiate a Request for Bid process for the restoration project.  Once the contractors have been selected, we hope to begin the preservation and restoration plan before the beginning of summer 2008.
