I write tutorials on topics for which I may or may not have special expertise.  I do so to help organize my thoughts.  You are welcome to read them, and I hope that you find them helpful.  Feel free to send suggestions and/or (mild) criticisms.

I wrote this tutorial as a very short introduction for a dear friend when she was 11 years old.  My intent was to make it accessible to anyone willing to expend a modest amount of effort.

This is work in progress.  The intent is to offer a highly abstract introduction to unicellular life for computer scientists.  My belief is that, for the right audience, it can significantly reduce the effort needed to gain an overview.
