Rose Moon Studios—The Collaborative Work
Pipersville (Bucks County), Pennsylvania
James Feehan and Susan Roseman, husband and wife, are both accomplished artists in their own right. Their independent work differs drastically—Susan portrays everyday activities through printmaking while James applies his interpretations of realism and fantasy with paint or etching. Together in Rose Moon Studios Susan and James explore ideas and draw upon one another’s experience and perspective. Their creative collaborations are expressed in their sign business, the studio classroom and the programs they take out into the community. Art truly is their lives.

Teaching Young Artists
Through grant funding, Susan and James teach an Independent Art Studio Course to Solebury School students. They impart a variety of approaches intended to strengthen the students’ existing skills and introduce them to new materials and techniques. Just as important, Susan and James show by example the realities of artists’ lives—an important perspective not often seen by students. It’s what they refer to as "values clarification."
Susan and James also teach at the Anderson Alternative School (Montgomery County Intermediate Unit) as artists in residence.
Arts for the Manor
Susan and James were instrumental in bringing this program to the Neshaminy Manor nursing home where local artists run hands-on workshops for the residents. A fundraising brunch and auction generated the necessary funds to get the program going in 2002. Each week, for a full month, a selected artist works with the residents for two hours. It has proven to be beneficial to the residents physically and mentally. It’s something they look forward to every week. For more information write to
