WELCOME!

Thank you for visiting my online Colorado State Senate office. It’s been an honor and a privilege to represent my constituents in Boulder and Boulder County for the past 13 years, the last 7 as one of 35 state senators in the Colorado General Assembly.  I look forward to continuing to serve my constituents in Senate District 18 (SD-18) before I am term-limited out of office in 2008.  Over the next year and a half I want to be your voice and represent your interests in the Legislature as best I can.  To do this I need to hear from you. That’s why I hope that you will use this website as a way of connecting with me so that I can better represent you at the state capitol. As we will try to include frequent updates and the latest news on legislation, I hope that you will visit often.

Finally, we are trying to fully utilize the latest internet technology to be able to better gauge the opinions of my constituents in “real-time”.  This will allow me to have a more accurate picture of how residents in Senate District 18 feel about a certain measure or bill before deciding how to vote on it. But we are just learning how to do this, so please be patient.
