Winter in Northwest Pennsylvania
Click on the picture above. This is how a 5 year old who loves baseball and golf survives the long winters. Who cares if there is snow on the ground and it 10 degrees out. Get out there and practice.

2 - 1 - 1
This year get into the Bible and get the Word of God into YOU. Let me encourage you to follow a pretty simple reading plan this year. I believe that this can not only be a one time event in your life, but this can be a discipline for your life.
The 2 - 1 - 1 plan. Read TWO chapters a day from the Old Testament. Read ONE chapter a day from the Poetic Books. That is Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiatics, and Lamentations. Then read ONE chapter a day from the New Testament. This will easily get you through the Bible in one year and if you occasionally miss a day, don’t worry about it, just pick up where you left off the day before. I can guarantee that if you make an effort to get God’s Word into you, Jesus will then be able to mold and shape you into the awesome person He is calling you to be.

Pray for India
The Church in India need our prayer like never before. With the most recent bombings in Mumbai (aka Bombay) and the continued persecution in the state of Orissa this is a good time to stand in the gap for our brothers and sisters in that great nation. If you were here when Jaipaul was speaking this October you remember him speaking about the tragedies occurring in Orissa. He called me yesterday and let me know about a video his ministry has posted on YouTube. It is first hand footage that is worth seeing. Click HERE to view it.

Bring something to the table
I am just about ready to sit down and eat an amazing Thanksgiving dinner that my sister-in-law in Kentucky is about to serve. It’s crazy how many dishes are on the table and how they all come together to make my favorite meal of the year. It’s not just one dish that makes the dinner so great, but the fact that they are all on the table together.
Last Monday as we gathered together and talked about hearing from Jesus we were challenged for our next meeting. This coming Monday make sure you bring something to the table. What I mean is that you have all week to hear something/learn something from God. When we come together be prepared to share with the rest of us. Christianity is designed for all believers to hear from God and the gathering is designed for all of us to edify each other.
I can’t wait to go and eat the turkey dinner I am smelling. And, with equal anticipation I look forward to next Monday night as we come together and encourage each other in the Lord. Make sure
