a minimalist style villa

during the design and building of my first house in bahia, i re-discovered my passion for architecture. having discovered at an early career training age that i don’t possess sufficient capacity in the left brain to become a professional architect, i settled on architectural concepting.

here are a few examples of my concepts for a number of different projects, both residential and commercial. other designs are shown in the section, “hotel projects”.

This project was commissioned by an english investment group.

the envisaged style aims to capture the culture of Bahia -a mix of stucco white and light coloured wall finishes and tiled or wooden shingle roofs with natural wood details.

the rational behind this ‘residential resort’ concept is the belief that potential buyers from abroad will be looking for something that underlines their choice of Bahia for a second/holiday residence, not a repetition of what they are used to seeing in southern European or u.s. developments.
