Roger Hale studied fine art in England before embarking on a career in advertising, holding creative and management positions at renowned international agencies in London, Brussels and Amsterdam.

Hale then started his own agency and soon built its reputation to the ‘best’ in its category. However, after more than twenty years in the straight jacket of corporate decision-making processes, he decided to drastically re-invent his life.

Travelling the Americas with the ‘Lonely Planet’ guide in hand, Hale finally decided to settle on the island of Itaparica, Brazil.

    There, he  returned to his fine art roots and painted for exhibitions in the USA, Brazil, The Netherlands and Belgium.

Besides painting, Roger Hale is interested in creating education and sustainable community programs to help the socially disadvantaged of Itaparica (see pages related to “The Soul Foundation”).

The diverse and extensive experience gained over the past eighteen years in Bahia allows him to also advise private and commercial investors in the areas of strategic planning, marketing, design and construction.
