This is my home page where you can find informations on my teaching and research activities. You can visit the Antarctica sections to discover life and adventures in the frozen continent and the pages on research expeditions and geological field trips.

My research interests are in structural geology and continental tectonics with special focus on orogenic belts. Field areas span from Himalaya, Antarctica, to Sardinia and Northern Apennines (Italy).

I am interested in field-oriented studies dealing with ductile deformation processes, evolution of crustal-scale shear zones and associated microstructural fabric development and fold/fault relationships.
