Build A Biker Scout Costume!

I became a fan of Star Wars during the film’s second run in theaters in 1978. There’s something wholesome about these films, and for that, I love them. Oh yeah, I love the costumes too!

In 1983, I saw “Return of the Jedi” and I was fascinated with the “new” breed of  stormtrooper, called the Imperial Scout, or Biker Scout. Speeder bikes, light armor, a cool pistol, and the right to smash an Ewok in the mouth..what more could one ask for? In 2005, the Scout Trooper was seen again in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, blowing away battle droids while helping the Wookies.

In 2003, I began to build Biker Scout armor for my own personal use and with the hope of joining an elite costuming club/charity organization, known as “The 501st Legion”. After winning several local costume contests, I became confident that the 501st would accept my application, which they did. I am now part of the 501st ConnSquad and will have many opportunities to help those who need it through our organization’s charity work.

To see my Scout costume or pictures of ConnSqaud events that I participated in, please select a link in my ‘Tour of Duty’ section.

Are you interested in owning your own Biker Scout armor? Email me and I’ll try to help you out! In the meantime, check out my “Build a Biker Scout” page. It’s loaded with ideas and a shopping list. Take a look!

Although this site is not the official 501st or Conn Squad site, it is dedicated to all of it’s members and fans.
