Hey up, funk fans, Have you visited ROCK’N’ROLLSOUL’s new venue yet? We’ve been at the Slaughtered Lamb, Clerkenwell, EC1 on the FIRST FRIDAY of every month since February, and it’s swiftly become every bit as mad as those fondly remembered nights at the Albany.
We’ve responded to the credit crunch in the only way we know how - by doing a Frank Gallagher and shouting “PARTY!”. While the Lamb’s sexy bar staff will insist on charging you for their excellent gastro grub and fancy-dan beers, entry for getting on the good foot downstairs with your favourite purveyors of soul, funk, psych and garage punk is a recession-busting FREE!
The decks will be manned by residents
GARY BARRELL, THE HORSE and the FUNK PURSUIVANT, and womanned by the bouncing, beehived Ms EMMA SUNLEY. And, yes, the mirrorball from our Albany years is still alive. Just.
