In college, when we were dating, my roommates and I used to wonder if Greg was perfect.  17 years later, I know him better and can say he isn’t far off.

My Kids

Ethan: 14 years old.

Super cute and totally goofy. Ethan had a stroke in utero. He has cerebral palsy. His spirit exudes joy.  Where Ethan goes, friends follow. Who doesn’t love this boy?!? Ethan’s favorite activities include flapping sheets of paper, watching cars drive by and making sure Derick stays on the straight and narrow.  This child is seriously the happiest little boy in all the world.  Going on a walk with grandpa is his version of nirvana.

Derick: 14 years old.

We adopted our sweet boy in April 2006. He has Downs Syndrome and is non-verbal. You’d think that would mean he can’t communicate, but you would be wrong. We always know where Derick stands on an issue. The girls call him the “Budgy Boy”. Not sure where they got that, but it certainly fits. Derick’s fave activities are swinging or jumping on the trampoline and dangling a shoe from it’s laces. He also loves to point to invisible objects and grunt. Also an excellent hugger.

Jane: 12 years old.

Jane is just the most lovely, creative, happy young lady.  She has the best imagination on the block and she is completely without guile. What a doll this girl is.   Jane has a slight obsession with horses.  I have come to accept the fact that after 8 years of hard-core love, the little girl is serious about her passion.

Grace: 8 years old.

No one can forget Grace.  Whether she is speaking in a British accent or asking where babies come from in the middle of a restaurant, she makes her mark on the world.  This child is feisty, fabulous and fantastic!  I laugh several times a day at her antics.  Now, if I can just get her temper a little more under control, I can stop crying everyday, too! Oh, I love this girl!
