Welcome to the weekly CAWS Blog.  Follow happenings within an animal rescue group run by a small group of volunteers.  CAWS is a Colorado licensed 501 (c) 3 animal rescue organization located in western Colorado.  It was formed in 2002 by a group of concerned citizens in Delta County Colorado where there is no animal shelter to house abandoned, abused and neglected pets.  A network of foster homes was recruited to safehouse pets until permanent homes can be found.  The organization is run solely by dedicated volunteers and is funded by donations and grants.
