My background, starting from 1979, was in visual arts. It all started with a love of drawing and a liking for paint and colour. later I began to make odd sculptural things out of a wide range of materials and then concentrated on stone for quite some time. Lettering has always played a large central role in all of my personal artwork and this has crossed over into the practical world of signage. I like to work on interesting challenging projects and am still involved in all my original interests and have always retained the importance of working with people as the core to my practice.

 

Qualifications: 1979 - 1981 Art Foundation, 1981 - 1984 B.A Fine Art, 1990 - 1992 M.A Fine Art and lots of various jobbing within the above fields.
