Multicultural Artists

We have contacts with a range of experienced multicultural practitioners and regularly work with artists  practising activities such as Samba, African craft, story, dance and drumming, Indian dance, story, craft, music and song, Polish Dance & Customs to name but a few.

Dance Kalli

Enliven your teaching about India, its culture and religions.

Workshops to include:

Dance

Traditional, classical and modern Indian dance. Your pupils will love participating in Gujerati stick dance, modern Bhangra and Bollywood Workouts.

Art & Storytelling

India culture has the most fabulous range of stories imaginable.  The glories of the Ramayana and Mahabarartha will be brought to life for your pupils.  The stories link wonderfully with the study of Hinduism and can be further expressed though a range of art activities, including stunning murals for a dramatic display.

Cross-Curricular Links

Sessions can also include drama, creative writing and design technology.  India also has a fabulous range of festivals and sessions can be based around Diwali, Eid, Vaisakhi etc.  All of India’s art forms have a religious context and sessions can be run on Hinduism, Islam and Sikhism.

We are experienced in working with all age ranges from Pre-School to 16 years. In addition to our tailor made indian workshops we also offer Staff INSET workshops.  See Dance Kalli in action at a recent Our World Festivals multicultural INSET day.
