Welcome to the website of Hickathrift, a Norfolk based ceilidh (barn dance) band, specialising in traditional (ish) European dance music.
The core of Hickathrift consists of Nick Carpenter, playing melodeon and Nicky Stockman playing soprano sax, clarinet and whistle. We usually play as a three piece band, calling on one of several experienced bass players that we frequently work with.

We usually work with an experienced caller and have a wide range of dance music, styles and dances from around the world, including British traditional music, French and Klezmer. We will travel almost anywhere so please give us a call to discuss your needs or to find out when we are performing next.
Nick is also a member of the well known band Xim and you may have spotted Nicky & Nick playing for the infamous Ouse Washes Molly Dancers.
