Lauren has been drawing since early childhood, having traveled extensively around the world and been inspired by many different cultures.

She graduated from the Art Academy of Cincinnati with a BFA in Painting, the emphasis being on nature. She started bead work ten years ago with the help of a Native American mentor, and she has been passionate about it ever since. Lauren also works with Egg Tempera as a painting medium and the borosilicate beads that she creates remind her of the fluidity and depth that the paintings have.
