SAGA has requested 200 bonnet/blanket kits for convention this year.

 

There are two patterns to use for making the bonnets.  One is a simple smocked bonnet with ties on the side.  The other is a mop style bonnet courtesy of Jeannie B. of Old Fashioned Baby and Creative Needle.  

 

The blankets are a simple square with either a rolled edge or a lace/trim.  

 

Both blankets and bonnets are to be made using soft fabrics, batiste and flannel of light colors (pale pink, blue, white or cream).  Since the mop style can be made out of flannel, small baby friendly prints can be used.  These are to be put in a kit to be ready to smock or embroider.  

 

 Bonnet kits should consist of bonnet (ready to smock) ribbon for ties according to pattern, needle and thread.  I will print off instructions for both to put in at convention.  

 

Blanket kits should consist of blanket ready to embroider, small amounts of thread and a needle.  I will have designs printed to include with the kit at Convention.
