Our Spirits need to sing and dance, and tell stories about the beginnings and journeys and mysteries of things, reminding us that we’re all family, woven through time into an intricate pattern . . . that is the Web of Life.

Earth Arts NW is a multi-arts eco-education program based in Portland Oregon. Founded in 2003, we provide children with opportunities for artistic exploration, environmental learning and literacy growth.
As kids deepen expressive skills and develop language fluency, they also collaborate as Earth Storytellers. Age specific activities invite students to participate in public art and environmental service-learning projects through their elementary school years. Each year we serve 1,000 children, family and community members in school based residencies and community events.
Earth Arts Kids know through experience that unexpected, innovative solu-tions come through playful interaction and that each one of us can make a meaningful contribution in shaping good ideas and bringing them into form.
Our activities are designed to honor diverse cultural perspectives, but we also invite children and their families to co-create new community traditions that integrate wisdom and beauty from all.
Today’s children will become stewards of 21st century Earth, with formidable challenges to tackle. From the restoration of eco-systems to the development of sustainable communities, they will need to imagine and create new pathways to follow into the future.
We are committed to nurturing their curiosity and love for the living Earth, their capacity to solve problems through artful, effective change. . . and their kinship with one another.
