Eighth Grade English
Overview
The literature read in eighth grade English includes an exploration of both traditional and contemporary works. In addition, short stories, poetry, articles, and music lyrics will be discussed and analyzed. Writing assignments and class discussions will relate to the themes and issues raised in each of the literary pieces. As a result, students will expand their abilities to think, read, write (both creatively and critically), and communicate.
