Come join us at the first bfifteen Play Club. This may well be the first of a fortnightly get together to read plays old and new. It’ll be a great opportunity to read those plays you’ve be meaning to for ages, catch up with old friends, make new ones and talk shop over a class of wine.

The Play
27 Wagons Full of Cotton is a collection of short one-act plays by Tennesse Williams. Many were written as studies for characters who appear in Williams’ later, more well known classics. They are fascinating pieces and it will be great to pick through some of the best.

How Play Club works
Well it’s all new so we’ll see how we go, but put simply, we’ll turn up with a £2 coin, draw the parts out of a hat and have a read. Each week one member will give us a short introduction to the play, its themes and a bit about its performance history. Once we’ve done we can have a chat over a glass of wine and a few nibbles. Easy.

There a few options here. Firstly it’s best to buy and bring your own copy and you can do that by clicking below. Alternatively there will be enough photocopies available on the night for an extra £1 to cover costs.
