Writing as Bobby McGee, Robert Leonard Reid has composed his first work for the theater, I Say Nevada!, a cabaret revue of fifteen sketches and songs that celebrate the great state of Nevada by making it look as ridiculous as possible.

The show premiered in November 2008 in the Donald W. Reynolds Black Box Theater at the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City, and played to sold-out audiences throughout its run. Lampooning everything from Area 51 to Liberace to Mark Twain to cowboy poetry, this irreverent revue proceeds on the assumption that nothing Nevadan is so dear to our hearts that it can’t be made the punch line of a really bad joke, or so sacred that it can’t be roasted beyond recognition.

The premier run of I Say Nevada! was directed by Eloise Koenig, assistant directed by Maizie Harris Jesse, and produced by the Proscenium Players, Nevada’s second-oldest continuously operating theater company.http://www.breweryarts.orghttp://www.prosceniumplayers.comshapeimage_2_link_0shapeimage_2_link_1
