Welcome to St. Bruno’s Monastery web site.  St. Bruno’s was the world’s first virtual monastery developed in 1999 by Dr. Bob Beltz.  You might be wondering what exactly is a virtual monastery?  Well, it is a place you can go and do the things you might do if you went to a real monastery like Iona in Scotland.  Things like: learning what the great spiritual masters of the past used to say; or having someone help you spend some time contemplating God and life and the universe; or having a little help learning how to pray; or just talking with someone who will listen.

 

The purpose of the blog is to keep you up to date with all the fun things going on in the world that have some connection to St. Bruno’s: things like books our monks have written; movies our monks have helped to make; places our monks have been hanging out; and just about anything you could imagine having any kind of connection to a monastery.  So - come on in!
