Well I was doing great with the running program and reached the end of week six. Now I have to stop for a few weeks as I heal from surgery from last Friday. I was instructed to not run for 3 weeks, but I see the surgeon next Monday, and maybe I’ll be able to return earlier. I tell you, I really miss the running already.

It does give me some time however to finish up the Couch to 5K podcasts. I just uploaded week seven with week eight only a few hours away.

But what do I do after week nine when the program ends?  I have several ideas. One comes from a suggestion I received to make podcasts for stretching prior to running. Something with some music behind it and maybe some light instruction. The only trouble with the instruction is that I think many people have there own routines worked out, so maybe I’ll just do some musical podcasts that are timed.

Another idea is to start a series taking the runner from 5K to 10K. I know I’ll be here soon and will want a program to get me up to 10K that is as successful as the Couch to 5K program. I might consider Hal Higdon’s program for the novice to 10K.

Let me know if you have any suggestions.
