Ok, I am starting my third week of the program now. I am feeling pretty good, but I have to admit that moving from the 90 second jogs to he 3 minute jogs was a bit of a challenge. But I made it! I completed both 3 minute jogs, and even better (I think) I recovered within a minute of each run.
One thing it did teach me though was that I think I have been running to fast, pushing to much when I do run. On th first run my breathing was very pronounced, like I was running at about 80%, I slowed myself down for the second run and really tried to make sure I could talk while breathing. My trick; I counted my steps out loud.
After the run I am feeling pretty good. On the day after, I can feel that I went running, especially in my knees, but it is not painful or even annoying, more like I am discovering muscles I did not know I had.
Podcasting
On a slightly related note, my podcasts for running the Couch to 5 K program are getting a lot of attention. I have made 3 so far and I am now in the itunes directory under health and fitness. Getting into itunes is quite a task, they have an approval process that takes several days and rejects most who apply. It then takes a few more days for their server to actually load the podcast information so that one can find it in itunes. However, now that I am in it should make it easier for people to subscribe to the cast and get the weeks they need.
