Back in November, about the time of the last journal entry, I was getting tired of doing the same stuff over and over.

 

Fast forward to now. I’ve been working at the movie company for the last four months. Adding a storage administrator to the mix last appears to have been too little too late.

 

Too many of the crucial decisions were “softballed” to satisfy  managment. Scripts can be written, and some things can be automated, but I don’t know that the job is ever going to be straightforward for the storage admin.

 

I’ve had some relief from the manky Actiontec router supplied with FiOS. Apparently setting the DHCP entries to static speeds up the process of getting the MBP and MacBook connected.
