Since the last post, which hasn’t been posted yet, some things have changed. I accepted a new job. The decision was a complicated one, and not one I’ll talk about here.

 

The new job has included some tradeoffs: WindowsXP SP2 is the only apparent OS choice, and the desktop folks are still connecting LCD displays to workstations via analog VGA. (I expect that sort of crap at the State of Oregon, but not a mainstream healthcare company.)

 

Beyond that, I reverted the firmware on my Actiontec. I was aggrivated at how jerky the shell was while running busybox. So far the results have been good.
