We were sitting around tonight talking about the differences between the Dresden Files books and TV show: In the books, Harry has a VW bug. A beetle is air cooled, but it does have some electronics. IMO Harry would do better with a crank start diesel of some sort. In the TV show, Harry drives a Vietnam War era Jeep. (Possibly crank startable?)

 

Coincidentally, very eary Bugs and Jeeps would be non-synchromesh, requiring double-clutch skills.
