God is...

God is change.
Neither good nor bad;
can be found in all that exists;
ingrained into the very fabric of the cosmos.
God is a formless, amorphous, shapeless entity
that is manifest in all interactions.

So statements like this need descriptions I suppose, so lets begin with what it is, shall we?  The previous poem-ish statement is actually what I believe to be true about God.  This is not a simplistic understanding and has a variety of sources including process theology, physics, and ecology.  Let me help you to understand how I got to this understanding of God.

I’ll start by asking a question. What is the only thing that has remained constant throughout our (individually and collectively on every level) existence?

Family? Friends? Rocks? None of those answers really satisfy the question because they all change.  There is nothing that doesn’t change in some way.  Just think about it for a while and it actually makes some intuitive sense. Many of the discoveries in physics in the last twenty years have even helped to support that assumption.  It seems to be a principle built into the very fabric of the cosmos.

It is this principle or force that I am calling God.  The reason for that is because it seems to be the one thing that always holds true and doesn’t fall in conflict with anything else.

So what ya’ll thinking bout in regards to what I’ve just said?
Let me know I’m interested in hearing your thoughts on either what I’ve said or what you think God is.
