Bella Adventures

This website is dedicated to our hobbies, and our travels, most of which are done with our dog, Bella.

Hence the name:  Bella Adventures

Bella is a wonderful four-year old mutt, our best guess is a lab/greyhound mix.  We adopted her from the local Humane Society in October 2003, after a trip to Italy.  She was supposed to assist us in the “transition period.”  The period in which we were to settle down, travel less and get ready to have kids and a family.

Well, here we are a “couple” of years later...no kids, just a black dog.  She is quite the spoiled dog.  To prove this point we sold a pickup truck and bought a 1994 Landcruiser because there wasn’t enough room for her.  She does get to go pretty much everywhere with us too so the extra room is nice.

So, if you’re wondering... We are still in the transition period, in fact the only thing that has transitioned is the type of trips we take.  The majority of our trips are now vehicle dependent.  We go camping so “she” can experience the wilderness.  And, if we’re lucky, sometimes she will let us venture off without her on trips by ourselves.

A little about us...

Cat has a degree in Biochemistry from Humboldt State University.  She is currently working as an Emergency Trauma Technician at UCSD, and waiting to get into Nursing School.  ETA for this next adventure is...  Meanwhile during her spare time, when Robb isn’t dragging her to various places far and wide, she works as a seasonal Lifeguard for the City of San Diego.

Robb has a degree in Outdoor Recreation from San Diego State University.  He is currently working as a full-time Lifeguard with the City of San Diego.
