Each trip that Time On The Mountain takes is designed for each individual group. The Bible lessons are based on the spiritual maturity of each group. If there are specific activities or scenery that you would like your group to experience, tell us and we will try to accommodate you. We seek to develop moments that nurture teachable hearts and minds, so that the Word of God can help your group grow in significant ways.

Trips

Backpacking:

We take a group, of no more than 20 (including guides and counselors), into the back-country to experience majestic mountains and waterfalls. We carefully pre-select each trail to ensure great views and enjoyable activities on the trail. We are also known for good food. Good food makes for a good time! We also do team building games. We try to make these games useful in application to the Bible teaching. The most important thing is the opening of God’s Word. We do this through group time, individual time, and song. Trips range from a simple day hike to four nights.

Mission Adventure:

Since our focus is on using God’s creation to present the Gospel, we partner with other organizations to form mission trips that put people into the outdoors plus ministry. We are continually looking for new opportunities in the United States and around the world. These trips can range from a weekend to 10 days.

Cabin Rental:

We realize that it is a lot of work for group leaders to find a nice cabin for their group. We have some cabins that we like to rent for groups. We look for majestic views and great outdoor activities that the group can partake in. Each group will still do some outdoor activity like a backpacking trip. We also do team building games. We try to make these games useful in application to the Bible teaching. The most important thing is the opening of God’s Word. We do this through group time, individual time, and song. The only difference is that you will be able to come back to a cabin.

Camping:

Camping is a great trip for people who do not want to travel far. We have

our favorite places to go. We provide all the food, but tents and sleeping

bags will have to be on a first come first serve basis. We invite more

people to come along, but they will have to bring equipment. Just like the

rest of our trips we design the Bible lessons for each individual groups.

We like to prepare a nice breakfast over an open fire, and show you some

survival skills. These trips are usually enjoyed by father/son trips and

1st-6th grades.

Rappelling:

This is a huge faith building activity. Luke has been trained by Fox

Mountain Guides and everyone that helps has been trained. This is a great

example of how we are to put our trust in God. This team building activity

also puts people close to a breath-taking view. We take our time and

encourage each other. We realize that for some people this will come easy.

Others, it will be the most trying experience that they have accomplished.

This is a great activity for leadership building.

Team Building:

Every one of our trips, at some point or another, consists of team

building games. These have been tried and proven to bring out

communication, trust, faith, etc. in a way that some may have never

experienced before. These activities are exciting, but the most important

part is the debriefing. After an activity we always tie in scripture and

Christian life principles.
