Delivery of Moondoggy
from Maine to the Bahamas
Moondoggy is a Maine Cat 30 sailing catamaran built by Maine Cat in Bremen, Maine. Moondoggy will be placed in charter service at Maine Cat’s charter base in Hope Town on Elbow Cay, Abacos, Bahamas.
Larry is delivering Moondoggy from the Maine Cat factory to her charter base with the help of two of his racing team members, Louie Heusinkveld and John Furrow. Since Louie has to leave the delivery voyage in Florida, Larry’s brother, Mike Greenwood, will round out the crew for the Florida-Bahamas leg, as well as serve as weather adviser and ship tracker for the Maine to Florida leg.
Moondoggy is well set-up for sailing the Sea of Abacos, with its large center cockpit with hardtop and accommodations in each hull.
This website will be updated daily, usually in the evening, during the voyage from Maine to Florida. Updates for the Florida to Bahamas leg will be spotty as the webmaster (Mike Greenwood) will be participating in that leg. Updates will be done when web access is possible.
