STILLWATER is the simple short story of John and his mother Samantha. Both are dealing the void left in the wake of John’s father leaving. Choosing to withdraw from, instead of leaning on each other, John and Samantha find themselves alone dealing with their pain. John has hockey and Samantha has her pills and her booze. But when John’s home troubles spill out in his play and he’s benched, he finds himself without the outlet he needs.
Forced to confront his father’s absence with his mother, John finds that life is more than just time between games.
