I created this site out of two needs.  First, I wanted a quick and easy place to publish my photos online for family and friends (and whoever else is interested) to find them.  Second, having a professional online presence that is largely separate from anything personal in my life, I found it difficult to give people a single place to find out about what’s going on in my life - either people I know in the everyday world outside the Internet (yes Virginia there is life beyond the Internet) or people I meet through various social networking and other ways online.


So, that’s what this page is about.  There’s no great “About Me” section to it.  If you want to find out about me, my interests, what I think about various subjects, or anything else you’ll have to do some work looking what I’ve said or written elsewhere - which will probably give you a better view of who I am than any bio I could write.  But I will tell you that writing bios or profiles is something I hate doing even more than I hate writing or updating my resume.
